Welcome to the Neighborhood!
Let’s Improve the Neighborhoods of Crooked Creek (LINCC) is a multi-step process, convened by the Crooked Creek Northwest Community Development Corporation as part of the Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative.

Crooked Creek is a welcoming community just 15 minutes northwest of downtown Indianapolis—where residents of every race, culture and background live in harmony with nature, their community and one another. Among Crooked Creek’s many assets are well-regarded public and private schools, faiths of every denomination and distinctive neighborhoods to suite most any lifestyle. One-of-a-kind amenities such as the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Christian Theological Seminary, Butler University and the St. Vincent Hospital complex bring thousands of visitors a day to this vibrant area. Historic Michigan Road bisects the community, where homes built in the 1800’s signify an abiding reverence for the past, even as the people of Crooked Creek work together to create their future.

5000 Hours Volunteer Program
Every year thousands of people volunteer their time and talent to benefit the Crooked Creek community. Last year alone, 400 people contributed to the community’s Quality of Life Plan. Building on this experience, 5,000 HOURS is a new program designed to:
  • Get more people involved in volunteer activities that benefit the Crooked Creek community.
  • Record and “capture” at least 5,000 hours of volunteer time and talent that individuals and organizations contribute each year to our community.
